In 2023, VietHarvest will launch the inaugural CEO CookOff event inspired by its sister organisation OzHarvest, taking place on Sunday, 4 June in Ho Chi Minh City at the InterContinental Hotel Saigon.
All funds raised will enable VietHarvest to expand its food rescue mission in Ho Chi Minh City after successfully launching a pilot in Hanoi in June 2022 which has already delivered close to 5,000 meals across Hanoi to underserved communities.
This unique and magical event will bring together 50 Vietnamese and Australian business leaders who will team up and cook with 10 celebrity chefs and serve a meal to hundreds of social impact and charity leaders as well as the business community providing them with a magical night full of connection, joy, impact and gourmet meals. It will also highlight the issues of hunger and food waste.
The first-ever CEO CookOff started in Sydney by OzHarvest. Since its inception in 2012, the CEO CookOff™ has enriched the lives of 9,000 vulnerable guests and 1,000 of Australia’s top business leaders. It has raised more than $12.5 million dollars for those in need, allowing OzHarvest to deliver 25 million meals across Australia.
